Mabel's summer vacation has begun. She really needed a break from the ratrace of city life. After stopping at Bill & Meagan's on the way up, we spent last night at Gammy's house in Neenah. It was Nathan and Danae's anniversary and we all went out for pizza at Cranky Pat's. Delish. Tonight, Mabel went out for her first fish fry. She was a little fussy, but we managed. Mabel and mama will be in WI until mid-July, but the daddy has to head back to the city on 7/8. We'll post pictures of our adventures as they unfold. Tonight's pictures include a shot of dad and Mabel relaxing on the couch, a picture of Mabel with her Auntie Meegs and three cuz's, and mama and Mabel at the fish fry.

Grandma Katie & Aunt Sue
Mabel's having another nice morning. We just ran a quick errand and are now home enjoying the air conditioning and getting ready for our big trip to WI. It's going to be quite a feat to pack for all of us for 2 1/2 weeks.
Here are a few pictures from Father's Day weekend. Mabel met her Grandma Katie and Aunt Sue for the first time. It was also Danae's first time meeting Aunt Sue, too. Mabel even managed a smile for her grandma.

Shots!!
Mabel had her 2 month drs appointment this afternoon. This photo is from her post-appointment well-deserved nap. She weighed in at 9 lbs. 6 oz. putting her in the 29th percentile!! We've come a long way, baby (she started in the 1st percentile). She is 22" long/57th percentile in length.
The doctor recommended a few remedies for her red cheeks which we started tonight. Dr. Albert also noticed that Mabel always has her head turned to her right. It has given her a very small flat spot on the right side of her head. I can't even see it, but she definitely always looks that way. Dr. Albert recommended more tummy time and also gave us a referral for physical therapy. Mabel is determined to get what she's got coming from our insurance company.
Finally - the SHOTS!!! She did great!! Just about 20 seconds of crying while the injections were happening and that was it. Now we just have to make sure she continues to do well for the next few days. Then we're free from drs. until Sept.
Mabel's first blog entry
Well, now that Mabel is almost 7 weeks old, I figured it was time for her to get to work and start her first blog. We're hoping to update this every few days with pictures and updates on Mabel's exciting life. I'm hoping you can set this up so that you get an e-mail each time we update and then you can go and get the info/pictures, etc. as opposed to us e-mailing.
Today, Mabel goes to the pediatrician for her first round of shots. We're also excited to see how much she weighs. We're thinking somewhere around 9 lbs!
